If you are just starting off in business, I am pretty sure you will not be ready to outsource anything (unless you happen to be rich already!!).
But, if you have been in business for a while, and you are currently doing everything yourself, it may be time to outsource your admin to a Virtual Assistant.
If the following describes you and your business then maybe it’s time to consider it…
- You do everything yourself in your business, but are finding that you are becoming more and more bogged down with the daily running of the business and keeping on top of the admin side
- You end up taking work home with you, or working later than you should cutting into family time, because there just aren’t enough hours in the day
- You are falling behind with your paperwork because you are too busy making your product/working for your client and the more you get behind, the harder it is to sort out
- Your inbox is overflowing, you don’t have time to sort it out because you just react to the emails coming in but don’t file them away or unsubscribe to any unwanted emails
- You need to book some appointments, but don’t have time to sit on the phone on hold and find you either double book yourself or forget appointments because you are too busy
- You have some jobs that you literally hate doing, and it is ruining your enjoyment of your business
- You have lots of ideas, you want to market yourself more on social media, but again you don’t have time or find you are doing this out of hours to make it work
- You have too much work for one person, but not enough to hire someone else and pay for training, NI contributions etc. You just need someone to help a few hours a week or adhoc when you have more projects on
- You don’t know how to use a new system or software, and you don’t have time to learn
As you can see there are some good ways to tell if you are ready to outsource.
Spend some time reflecting on your business, and if you are able to outsource some jobs, how much time would that save you to work on the fun aspects of your business?
